Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
This policy explains what data BlackLab stores, what for, and what rights you have over it.
1. What we store
About your account: name, @username, email, language, primary currency, profile photo (if you upload one) and password (always hashed).
What you enter: income, expenses, categories, amounts, currencies, exchange rates, descriptions and dates.
About your links: which users you linked with, the relationship type and the movements you marked as shared.
Technical: sign-up date, email verification date and basic server logs.
2. What we use it for
Only to make the app work: showing your balances, sharing with the other person what you chose, sending verification and password-reset emails, and keeping the service secure.
3. What the other person in a link sees
Only the movements you marked as shared with them. Your personal movements and private totals are never shared.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or hand over your data. We use providers to run the service: hosting (Hostinger) and an email delivery service. Exchange rates are fetched from public APIs without sending them any of your data.
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie, needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
6. How long
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete it, the data is permanently removed, except for backups that rotate within a short period.
7. Your rights
You can access your data and export it to Excel from your profile, correct it at any time, and delete your entire account whenever you want.
8. Contact
